Each retired person must have sufficient income to meet all of theses needs. At present there are a number lof programs to provide income to a retiring person. What is needed is a modification of the Tax code and a an addition to the basic Social Security benefit . This benefit and all other income of a retired person should be tax exempt for the first $50k to 70k and consist of three or more income streams.
Instituting such a economic environment would secure AMERICA as as one the best countries to retire in and would assure continued growth of our economy as all seniors become active consumers with more money to spend to support themselves during their retirement. Remember the growth of the last 30 years has been based on satisfying the needs of the BOOMERS. What will happen when the BOOMERS are gone
